High Beam Question

hey guys,
i have a ep91 startlet (normal)-can someone tell me, ive noticed that when i put the high beam on,
it seems to dim the normal low beam bulb and obviously turn on the high beam one. Is this normal? When i put a multimeter across the bulb plug, i noticed that for the normal low beam it drops from 12v to 5v when the high beam is turned on.
Can someone else confirm this for me please.

anyone? ivan if possible can you have a check on your starlet?

when you turn your high beam on, your low beam light should turn off completely.

Imagine it being 2 light bulbs in the same glass housing. One one should be on at any one time or they overheat and burst.

yeah thats what i though...it probably turns off cause it might over heat.
