Compatible Automatic Tranny

Hello
I want to upgrade the 3spd auto transmission (A132) with a non electronic controlated 4spd auto. Which of the toyota transmissions will fit a 2E/3E without a ecu?
My car have a 2E but i`m planning to buy a 3E and fit into my car with a 2E head. Just to have a little more power. Are the head the same or i will get a little more compression?

Sorry i cant help you a great deal with the gearbox question, but i would imagine that the 4spd auto (A244F) gearbox from a 4EFE EP91 would bolt onto the a 2ETELU engine.

As for the engine conversion you are talking about, i would imagine that a 4EFTE or a 5EFHE engine (with associated wiring loom and anchillaries) would be a better bolt-in conversion. From memory the 5EFHE and the 3E engine share the same bottom end, crank, rods, and in that case should be able to adopt a 4E or a 5E twin cam head onto it.
