Hi y'all,
just trying to find where to attach the rpm wire from an aftermarket tacho for an EP91 4efe 98 starlet life.
is there a wire behind the tacho i can attach to which wire from around the distributor cap (there are heaps! not like to old days of an ignition coil)
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Ben

Im my 1998 Reflet there were no RPM cable to cluster.
I`ve got the RPM signal from the ECU.
interesting. im pretty sure they included it in all starlet wiring looms based on what i have come across.
at the end its a black wire but turns into a shielded orange/poo colour wire down to the ecu.
If you are still having problems finding it have a look at the computer wiring diagrams i have put up and connect it to the right pin. Jezza knows which one it is, IGF i think it is.

IGt will be a digital output, IGf is a ground signal, and NE is an inductive signal, all are 1 per ignition event in a 4efe :) 1 of those will work...just depends on the tacho as to which one will work for you
