Default Glanza Bonnet

I would like to fit a Glanza bonnet to my starlet after doing a turbo motor swap instead of cutting and installing aftermarket bonnet scoop and was wondering if just the bonnet will fit or do I need Glanza headlights and bumper to mate it to.
Looking at pics I have seen it appears there is a slight difference around the headlights.
Anyone just fitted a bonnet or is a full frount end required?

Hey bro, you will need the headlamps to suit the bonnet unfortunately. The non-turbo model lamps are shallower. Worth fitting the bumper and grille whilst you are there to make it look right too.

It looks like I might need a bumper to suit the bonnet. I sent off some pics to a importer who had a bonnet and included some measurements on there and appears that the Glanza headlights are wider as well so they wont fit into the standard bumper.

Might just have to fit a funky looking nissan patrol scoop on my std bonnet.

The money would be better put towards a front mounted intercooler mate. I turbo'd a UK-spec EP91 and it was well worth the expense in terms of looks and performance:

Jay,
It looks like you have Glanza headlights in.
They fit quite well in with the standard looking bonnet.
Is your bumper a strandard starlet one? It looks like one with a skirt bolted to the bottom.
To get the car roadworthy I need to have all the standard engine equipment in place so I can't get a FMI fitted untill she's passed and on the road.
Also I want to keep the car looking fairly standard so that it doesn't get to much attention. A bit of a rough looking sleeper.
I also want to run motorkhanas and khanacrosses with it so I don't like the idea of having extra piping hanging down low out the front of the car incase I hit something.
What breed of intercooler is yours? All the FMI I have seen are to suit a big low Glanza type bumper.

It's a friend's car that I turbo'd last year.

The lamps are JDM non-turbo units from what I remember, the Glanza V ones are a different shape. These make a nice upgrade though with the clear lenses.

That lip is a genuine TTE splitter which has been moulded into the bumper. They were a dealer option but are classed as a rarity.

To pass the test you could run a standard top mounted intercooler and take it really handy - your inlet temps will suffer but it would be enough to get you through the test. No power runs though and stay off high boost.

Then just whack a black frontmounted intercooler on for the stealth approach. Well worth having as the cooler inlet temps will lead to more power.

That's a WEPR cooler. It's small compared to the likes of Blitz, Autobahn and HDI cores but it is a perfect size for the application. Seen some good results from them in the past.

The piping will be your main concern if you are heading offroad. Just a case of planning the right core and the right route to it.

They do look a slick set of lights.
I haven't heard of that brand of intercooler but I'll do a search on it and have a look.
Do you know if you managed to keep the A/C fan if it was fitted?
A bit of matt black paint on there and no one would give it a second look as a street weapon.
