Hey

Just wanting to know a few things as i have been looking around and feel a little bit confused

Upgrading the stock ct9 with a TDO4L from a subaru... and im not sure what else ill need. ha ha

Figured it wont fit anything stock, so that means new manifold (will it fit a t4 mani?) and new dump pipe. But since Im running the stock exhaust, will getting a prefabricated one work? i.e. http://www.drivenperformance.co.nz/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1256 Or will i need one custom made. Or replace my whole exhaust (which is a plan for the future... but a little daunting!)

I feel like getting the turbo is the smallest factor of the whole thing, as it means upgrading everything else!

I havent bought the turbo yet, so if anyone has any suggestions im pretty open to them!

Also is it worth upgrading the exhaust on the stock, then saving up for the turbo/mani/dump etc ?

Cheers

To get a TD04 working, you need:
-exhaust manifold
-dump pipe
-uprated exhaust
-custom oil feed line
-redo water lines
-redo oil return line
-piggy back ecu at a minimum
-tuning

hope that helps,
Ivan

Would i be better off upgrading exhaust, ecu, manifold etc, then getting a CT9 hyrbid? or something similar which will just bolt on to same sized mani etc?

If you're referring to the "same sized mani" as your stock manifold, most likely it has cracks and it is also highly inefficient as the 3rd runner has an obstruction in it from a stud.

No Scotty, i meant same size outlet, i.e. fits the CT9 turbo.
