Connecting Rod Comparisons

I have taken some comparison photos of all the different OEM rods that are available for the 4e/5e engines along with a comparison of 2 other Toyota engines, being the 4AGZE(import Levin) and the 2ZZGE (new Celica).

Some of my observations:
The 4EFE and 5EFE con-rods are good if you are going to run on naturally aspirated (N/A) performance. They are lighter considerably but do not provide a great deal of strength at all. I would use these with caution when turbo-charging, and would definitely get them shotpened and the sidewalls polished for high-revving N/A use.
The 4EFTE con-rods are quite solid but the finish on them is quite rough. I would get them shotpened and the sidewalls polished to make them stronger.
The 5EFHE con-rods are actually thicker than the 4efte rods, which was a surprising find. They are more solid but like most Toyota con-rods their finish is rough. Both the 4efte and 5efhe rods would handle some good power if you treat them prior to use. (sidewall polishing, shotpeening and crack testing). 273 274
