Hey guys.

I have put a 4efte in my mini whilst keeping most of the standard ep91 sensors and such. the car is pretty much running off the standard glanza ecu and harness but just in a different shell, altho i have removed the aircon and powersteering vacuum switches and sensors but have plugged up all vacuum pipes. i have also removed some of the heater blower / air con and abs wiring.

Now onto the problems.. If you watch on the video i have posted.. the issue i first thought was that the engine idle was always hunting regardless of me disconnecting the icv, cleaning the icv, rerouting the throttle body heater pipes, or general removing of any vacuum pipes. I also checked the diagnostic for any codes... all fine.

The main issue is that the engine is still running even after the key barrel has been switched off.. we found that it was only turning off due to the fuel pump stopping and the engine running out of fuel. To test this we hooked the fuel pump to a 12v constant, then started up and switched off the engine.... BUT it didn't stop running. There is still power at the coil..

I'm hoping someone has seen this problem before or may know of places i could check as im running out of ideas. I have been going thru the loom (as i have the whole loom bare) and testing the igniter, coil and dizzy making sure nothing is has been cut from the ecu... it almost seems like something simple is missing but i cant find it.

UPDATE:

I may have fixed the problem.. almost certain, just need to put the loom back in the car and give it another shot.

It seems that i had accidently swapped 2 of the junction box plugs on the loom. One having 2 separate joins, which was joining all the wires together (IG2 + EFI Relay switched 12v+) and the other being a Ground junction which didnt join the intake throttle body ground to the ECU.

FYI. Grey Plug Junction Box - 2 separate junctions in 1, Orange Plug Junction Box - single junction between all pins.
