This section is about technical questions about starlets. If you have a question, please ask and we will try and lelp you.

Questions may be about a number of things including:
-Q's about the articles on this site
-Q's about problems you are having with your starlet
-Q's about suggestions we may have for a particular scenario

i can easily change my username to 1500cc :), but what do i need for my engine to make it 1.5L or 1.6....is it expensive....doe ecu needs to be changed

search this forum for threads about a 5e

5e is the 1.5L bottom end compatible with the 4efte head (they actually use the same head on the earlier 5e's)

What are the quoted wet weights for EP71, 82 and 91's?
Also what are the quoted standard 0 to 100km/hr and 1/4mile times for each of the above?

5e is the 1.5L bottom end compatible with the 4efte head (they actually use the same head on the earlier 5e's) sorry, i didnt mentioned that i have a 4efe na engine.....

ahh right, well then you will want either an early 5efe, or if you can find one, a 5efhe (higher CR, better cams, higher rev limit, stronger rods). avoid the later 5e's as they not as good (by early i mean pre 94)

so i shld b looking 4 a paseo el44 1994, jst the bottom end, right?, i doubt if i can find a 5efhe one....thnx 4 da info......:)

you dont need just the bottom end, you can use the whole motor :)

EP82: 860kgs
EP91: 920kgs

EP82 7sec 0-62mph 15.2 1/4 time
EP91 7.2sec 0-62mph 15sec 1/2 time

hang on,,,,ur confusing a nooby here:confused: if i use the whole motor do u mean the whole engine...will it be a direct fit?

the heads are exactly the same, so you might as well use the whole thing
