Tyre and Wheel Fitment for EP Starlet
My findings of what size's/offset's fit without issues.
Stud Pattern:
All EP starlets are 4 x 100mm PCD stock. This means the centre of the studs form a circle with a 100mm diameter, and there are 4 studs evenly spaced around this circle.
Wheel Sizes:
starting from the small end....the lower your car the more difficulty you will have with larger wheels
13" wheels - SOME alloy wheels WILL fit over the GT/Glanza front brakes (best to check before buying), but steel wheels will not. If you are running the smaller front brakes 13" steel wheels will fit fine, as should all 13" alloy wheels.
14" -> 16" wheels - These sizes are all ok with no problems
17" wheels - Plenty of ppl running these sizes so should be ok too, but may require some wheel well modification
18" wheels - has been done but may or may not require some modifications to make them fit correctly
19"+ wheels - NOWheel Width:
The widest wheel width that fits a Starlet without modificationis is 7" wide.
Offsets:
With offsets, the wider the tyre/wheel, the more important it is to have correct offset.
For a 7" wide wheel the correct offset for an EP82/EP91 starlet is +40.
For a 6.5" wide wheel the correct offset for an EP82/91 starlet is +35 but anything from +32ish to +42 should fit
For a 6" wide wheel the correct offset for an EP82/91 starlet is around +32, but anything from +30 to +45 should fit (i have tested +45)Tyres:
The following sizes are all acceptable for rolling diameter on an EP82/91 starlet. This is not a full list, just some off the top of my head that i know will fit.
205/60R13
185/60R14
195/60R14
195/50R15
205/50R15
205/40R16
205/40R17
205/35R17Regards,
Jeremy
