    Default Which brand is this?

Anyone knows which brand has this logo?

These are oil pressure, boost and battery gauges.

Would be a great help. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the reply dude. I still can't find the "PRED" string in the search engines though.

Thank you so much jezza! I bought my modified AE101 (w/ 4EFTE) with these gauges. Boost and Battery gauge works fine but the Oil Pressure seems inaccurate. Always at a constant pressure. I plan to trace the source of the problem which makes me anticipate that it could be a defective oil pressure sensor (if my gauge has which i think it has).

By the way, talkin about this brand, I also posted a thread regarding the standard readings of oil pressure and boost/vacuum on 4EFTE. My current boost/vacuum gauge shows me:

ENGINE OFF- 0 Psi (or vacuum of about 2 in.Hg) if my gauge is really accurate
    IDLING - about 10 in.Hg.

A friend mechanic told me that this pressure is actually the pressure inside the exhaust manifold which he said is not governed by normal atmospheric pressure of 0 Psi (?). He said that this chamber is actually under vacuum (especially during warm idling) , which I assume is less than the standard 0 Psi pressure. It is only during boost that the manifold chamber becomes underpressure, of course due to the turbo compressor.

    Are these statements 100% accurate?

Also, he mentioned that in order to preserve your engine, you should maintain a boost level of about:

5-10 Psi during HI boost setting
below 5-8 Psi during LO boost setting

Hope to hear from you guys.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Well you must have a very tough boost gauge to be reading the EXHAUST MANIFOLD pressure. It hasn't burst into flames yet from the heat. The boost gauge reads from the INTAKE MANIFOLD. The intake manifold remains in Vacuum or lower until the turbocharger starts to spool up and create boost.

The amount of boost your engine can handle depends on a whole host of factors. There is no 'engine preserve' level. The 4EFTE comes with a HI/LO mode for fuel economy and runs the factory preset of 9psi.

    Hey hardcoreEP,

A bit off topic but you can run a standard boost gauge to read exhaust manifold pressure. I have done it on my car in the past.

What you do is use brake line tube and coil it around a pipe so that you get some length for it to act like a radiator. This cools the gas enough, and just crimp the tube close to the manifold so you only get a little bit of a hole (so it doesnt fluctuate too much).

You could go one step further and do it on the exhaust manifold per runner too.

Wow! Thanks a lot HardcoreEP. Now I understand that the boost gauge reads the INTAKE MANIFOLD. I guess I just assumed it was the exhaust because I notice an instrument hooked up in the exhaust. I'll take a picture of it and post it one time. Must be for temp or something, but it doesn't have a corresponding in-panel gauge.

Anyway, regarding HI/LO mode, the factory preset of 9psi pertains to what exactly? Is it the cut-off psi on LO? or HI?

Thanks a lot for the help! 'really appreciate it.

Ivan, thanks for the additional info. More power!
