Hi,
I shall be fitting a Blitz SBC ID3 with optional data harness soon and am trying to understand which wires from the ECU to tap into. (EP82)
I'd quite like to have throttle position as a data input but have noticed there are 3 pins relating to TPS shown on the wiring diagrams. - which wire would I need to tap into (i'm guessing VCC) and also, what are the high and low voltages for this signal?
Additionally, i'm also trying to confirm whether the Speed Signal (SPD) wire is the ECU speed output? (needed for installing Blitz Power Meter)
Thanks for any info!
Firstly, have a look at the wiring diagrams. The info should be there.
Secondly, unless you have an automatic computer/tps it will only be an on/off switch so will be useless to you. You would have to add an additional tps to get it working correctly.
If you still have probs, let me know.
Ivan
SPD is the signal generated from the gearbox speedo drive via the dash cluster, so will probably be the one you want (im not sure what you actually want here so im assuming you want a road speed signal)
Thanks Jezza, that's what I wanted confirmed.
I just need to find the min & max voltages for the other ECU outputs now. (The SBC is capable of recording 3 Data inputs.....in order to convert them into meaningful info I need to tell the unit what the voltages represent)
I shall have a hunt around......cheers
the only thing you can measure would be the MAP sensor signal or TPS if you have a variable one, (dont tap into the water temp/air temp wiring as u will disturb the signals to the ECU)
oh and i suppose the o2 sensor....but that would be a bit useless if it is narrow band
