Default help with tacho - rpm wire goes where...?

    Hi y'all,

just trying to find where to attach the rpm wire from an aftermarket tacho for an EP91 4efe 98 starlet life.

is there a wire behind the tacho i can attach to which wire from around the distributor cap (there are heaps! not like to old days of an ignition coil)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Ben

I`ve got the RPM signal from the ECU.

interesting. im pretty sure they included it in all starlet wiring looms based on what i have come across.

at the end its a black wire but turns into a shielded orange/poo colour wire down to the ecu.

If you are still having problems finding it have a look at the computer wiring diagrams i have put up and connect it to the right pin. Jezza knows which one it is, IGF i think it is.

IGt will be a digital output, IGf is a ground signal, and NE is an inductive signal, all are 1 per ignition event in a 4efe 1 of those will work...just depends on the tacho as to which one will work for you
